This is the traditional gas cured rotary preform system.  The unit is built with multiple screen ports and the parts are cured in a gas fired oven.  The stations are spray up, curing, cooling and part removal.  The system is automated and spray up can be either manual or by locating the fiber cutter and binder spray in the top position.

The 800V has a small footprint and can be easily moved to different production locations.  The unit is designed to cut various types of fiber such as carbon tow & arimids and the length of the cut can be changed while the unit is operating. Cut lengths are from 1mm to 4”

Model 800A Fiber Chopper

This versatile unit is the perfect solution for cutting roving, carbon tow or other fibers when the product must be distributed over a large area such as a head liner line.  This cutter has an optional AC controller which controls the unit's speed and keeps it in sync with the rest of your line.  Other refinements include a pneumatic mandrel adjusting system and a pneumatic oscillator system.

Model 800B Fiber Chopper

This model is the big brother of the 800B.  The diameter of the cutter roll and mandrel are larger and the length of the cutter roll can be up to 150”  The unit pictured has a cutter roll of 135” and the blade spacing is 2”, helix cut.

Our SMC systems are all custom built.  Widths are from 24” to 60”.  The photo at the left is the compactor of a recently installed 24” model.  We offer a completely heated unit as an option. Speeds range from 15 fpm to over  60 fpm.

Sheet Molding (SMC) Compound System

Our Festooners are available in widths up to 60” and have an optional film cutting system available.  You can order the unit without controls or we can provide separate control for each motor.

This system uses a Fanuc R2000 Robot with an automatic spray up and UV light Curing System.  The system can be designed with one or multiple work cells.  The  obvious advantages are the speed of cure (less than 30 seconds based on the size of the part) which directly effects daily output and your bottom line!

Our creel system is designed to feed the cutter either from the outside or the inside of the fiber roll.  The pictured system has ten (10) turntables that will hold four (4) rolls of fiber and pulls from the inside.  Other styles are available.

This is a smaller version of the 800A.  It is designed for jobs that don’t require the volume of the 800A.  It is easily moved and has a small footprint.  It will easily cut roving, carbon tow and other fibers.

This unit can produce up to one (1) pound of roving per strand being cut per minute at maximum output (varies with the weight of the roving being cut). The unit is easily moved and has a small footprint.  The unit can be configured to cut carbon tow and other fibers.
